Checking the Balance on Your Free Walmart Gift Card

Maybe you have heard about the free Walmart gift card programs that are being offered. Getting your own free card is really quite simple, all you need to do is find an offer online and signup. It could be that you have already done this, and you forgot about it. You might have just rummaged through your purse and found an old card and you are not sure if you have a balance on it.
It really is quite easy to see if you have a balance on your card. One way is to turn the card over and see if it has an eight hundred number on the back that you can call. This phone number can be used to call and they will tell you your balance.
Some cards have a website url on the back that you can access, and all you do is visit the website and enter your card number and it will reveal how much money is left on the card.
If neither of those options are available to you, you can always just take the card down to Walmart, have the cashier scan it and he or she will easily be able to help you out. All they do is scan the card and balance is instantly known.
One final place to look is doing an online search with Yahoo or Bing and try to find websites that will find the balance for you. All you do is enter your card number on their online form and they can then show you the balance. I would be a little wary of this last method considering all of the online scammers out there today.
Once you find out if you have a balance you can shop it off. If you do not want to do this something else to consider is selling your card balance. There are two ways to do this that I have found. The first way is to sell it on eBay, and what I have found is that many people can get ninety cents on the dollar from an online auction this way. The second way is to find websites out there that will pay you for your card balances. You need to search them out on a search engine, but these companies do exist and they pay for gift card balances.
